I am Emerson Taymor. Often, my initials will do. If you forget, just check out my chain. I hail from the Sucka Free City, more commonly known as San Francisco. I am an amateur magician, a food connoisseur and an avid sports fan. How much of a sports fan? Let’s just say my face has been shown prominently on every television channel showing sports, and has graced the homepages of Sportsline.com, Foxsports.com, and ESPN.com. I have even appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated (the magazine). Some people say I am kind of a big deal. I guess I would have to agree. Outside of UCLA athletics I am all about the Giants, Niners, and Warriors.
Aside from all that jazz (and being ridiculously good looking), I love listening and dancing to rap music, and I do it about as well as any 6’8” white boy can do. Yes, I am that tall. Nope, I don’t play ball. I work very hard, and I do not sleep very much.
Well, I do a lot. That isn’t enough? I am a web and graphic designer, a photographer and an entertainer. I perform legerdemain, but I also create magic on the computer. My skill set includes an array of computer programs and programming languages, people management, photography and idea generation.
For those of you interested in a more specific set of technical knowledge, I am experienced in: Adobe Creative Suite including, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash and Dreamweaver; Microsoft Office and Final Cut Pro. I have coded extensively in XHTML, CSS and Processing with some knowledge of Actionscript 2.0, PHP/mySQL, Javascript, XML and AJAX. I am also constantly learning new programs and scripting languages.
For those of you who do not care about technical jargon—all you need to know is I am an artist and a designer and sometimes I use programming to arrive at my final pieces. If you are more interested in my magical tendencies (get yo head out of the gutter), check out the "my magic" section.
I believe that anything is possible, and nothing is impossible. I believe that anything you want to accomplish, you can. I try to shoot for the stars and aim higher. I only accept imperfection when I know I can improve in the future. I push myself as hard as I can. I just want to enjoy life, and be the best at life as I can. I do not believe in regrets, but I do believe in making mistakes and learning from them.
Yes, that is sappy. Yes, it is cheesy. But, yes, it is true.
